Whangarei District gets a spanking new home on the web…
Over a year ago, my company held a workshop to get input for what a new website for the Whangarei District should aim to achieve. We got great feedback and suggestions from many representatives across several industries who all live, work and play here in Whangarei.
Today, I’m happy to say we’ve seen many of those ‘wish list’ items come to fruition, and I’m totally stoked with the end result.
The existing web presence was embarrasingly dated, non-functional and generally in a sad state of affairs. Telling my friends in the UK where i was now living, involved pointing them to wikipedia, or the regional tourism site NorthlandNZ.com. Now, thankfully, I can proudly point people to the newly launched site, and give them a taste of what it is to live here.
The site is built on ExpressionEngine, and has some great features/tools/sections for publishers and visitors to the site alike. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the build, and has been challenging in places but overall, very rewarding.
Have a look at WhangareiNZ.com, and if you have any feedback, good or bad, or questions about the ExpressionEngine install, let me know eh.
