AppleCare registration is a painful experience…

Far out, for a company as slick as Apple, they seem to have a half ass side to them sometimes. I just went to register an AppleCare Protection Plan and almost put my fist through the monitor.

Exhibit A: The registration form

Please select your country: em… no New Zealand in the list. Ok, so I click Australia.
Page redirects, Please select your country is now blank.
Ok, so I select Australia again, and page redirects, and Please select your country is blank. I get into an endless loop until I guess that the selection has been made, and I’m supposed to leave it blank…

Then the really annoying bit, you complete personal details, then you select from ‘personal’ or ‘company’. Finally, you enter your Mac’s serial and the damn page redirects and it blanks your form… Start all over.

wtf are you up to Apple.

My applecare experience was different-
I got to the end of the form and it instructed me to contact Apple. They informed me that MacZone since my customer’s machine was shipped to MacZonel a month ago that the AppleCare start date had to be set then.
This means the client is only covered for 2 years and 11 mos. The price of the Apple care was prorated by Mac Zone to
$308- not the usual $349.
My point- Apple seems to be trying to offer warrantee protection for an absolute minimum of time.
In my opinion it makes them mean- profit hungry and stingy. If Apple offers a warrantee that offers an extr two years- I expect to get that- not matter where a client purchases a machine.

this is my second apple care i bought in japan and since i registered my macbook im going through another shitty ass experience. i somehow wonder why setting up and email is way easier than this shit. seriously. im gonna have to fucking call apple again to register the god damn thing for me. piece of shit apple care registration...theyve go shitty ass hours for customer service as well. fuckers.
