1,999.00 USD = 2,555.62 NZD…

Why am I paying did I pay NZ$3,198.00 for a MacBook Pro then?

I just don’t get why us poor folk in New Zealand have to pull down our pants and take it nicely in the you know where when it comes to Apple’s pricing.

Has anyone got an answer for this irritating phenomenon. Where does that extra $500 USD go?

Hiya,

Just came across your blog from your post on ExpressionEngine. Just to say you should think yourself slightly luckier even still than us poor folk here in the UK. We have to pay even more for our computers and anything from other countries.

I used to do a lot of work for a company in New Zealand but in the end as our price of living here is about 3 times that of New Zealand the company had to take the work elsewhere (New Zealand).

We really get it stuffed to us over here! ;-)

I know what you mean though. I would love to see where all the extra money is going to too!!

Best wishes,

Mark

Hmmm,

So I’m just a measly comment am I? ;-)

I’m guessing hopefully that should update when I post this second one. Don’t really like to be thought of as measly! :-)

Best wishes,

Mark

P.S. Nice comments layout by the way. Like what you’ve done with the dates and the borders!

Hi Mark,

yeah its a bit on the side of sounding offensive.. maybe I’ll change it!

When you say if only everyone surfed with Safari does that mean that you have code placed in to check if the first comment was made by someone using Safari or just that you noticed that I am using Safari?

It would definitely be nice though if everyone used it as you would know for a fact that everything would look perfectly as you intended it to.

Are you on a Mac as well then? Hopefully? ;-)

Best wishes,

Mark

Only someone who uses Safari would say the comment boxes look nice :)

I’m using some styles that are only really available to Safari at this stage… namely text-shadow, -webkit-box-shadow and
-webkit-border-radius.

I’m on a 12 hour old MacBook Pro that I just bought as a present for myself! Before that I was loving surfing with Safari for PC believe it or not…
