Radical Rodents make me smile…
I haven’t laughed so hard in a while.

"Whangarei mayor Stan Semenoff has announced plans to establish an international-standard Hundertwasser arts centre at Whangarei’s Town Basin.”
Absolutely fantastic news for Whangarei just announced by WDC.
Yeah, I know what you’re thinking… Iain has developed a nasty habit and needs to go to rehab.
Nah, I haven’t lost it, I’ve only just got started. Today I just got my application back from EllisLab and I’m over the moon to be part of the ExpressionEngine Professionals Network. Go me.
Had a very slack end to last week and beginning to this week because of a camping trip we went on down the west coast…
Its been a year in the making, and a few moments ago I deleted 1 line of code to launch my latest work - WhangareiNZ.com
I’ve got that feeling and I’m getting hyped about how this year is going to develop.
It feel like its been ages since I launched a new site and yes, it has been a long time… Mainly because the project I’m winding up next week has been a year in the making and is now winding up to launch phase. Thats had me buried in the sand for the last month.
I thought I’d do some professional development and go along to ‘The Search Engine Room‘ workshop last week in Auckland.
To say the least, I have to say I was a little disappointed.
Local elections have wound up here in Whangarei and I have to say I’m a little disappointed with the results.
Going by the look of who got in, it seems to me that logic around these parts is to flick through the candidate book and pick the oldest, tightest, meanest looking person in it and vote for them.
Don’t know about all macs, but I sure cocked up spending $4k on a G5 imac in 2005. Today i downloaded some updates from apple and it pood itself, wouldn’t boot. Trying to work over a network on Indesign and it poos itself, trying to open font book and it poos itself (400 fonts).
After 6 weeks in the wop wops of the Hebrides, I’m finally back in the altogether pleasantness of Whangarei. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and I’m sure I’ve got less things to worry about…
Cor blimey, we’re off already. Aint been home for 5 years and is gonna be a blast!… Couple of nights in singapore on the way over, few days in London, then to cambridge and then finally arrive on Tiree…
Ok, I’ve been guilty of overlooking validation when it comes to launching sites on a budget… But, recently I’ve been assigned some pretty big sites to develop (big in relation to previous sites..) and I’d thought I’d do my best to make sure they validated. All in all, its been a pretty painless process and I’m pleased to say I’m even getting 1.0 strict sites together.
